Laura Friedrich’s drab life is interrupted upon the announcement of her terrific sister’s visit from Berlin. From one day to the next she turns her attention exclusively to preparing her life and her city for the European gaze. When the arrival becomes delayed by supposed consular problems, Laura suspects a conspiracy against her. She needs someone who can help her remove her detractors and she will not stop until she has her sister on Argentinian soil.
