Francisco Novick

Francisco Novick is a film director, producer and screenwriter born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is a Film Director (ENERC) and an Economist (University of Buenos Aires). He is an Locarno Academy alumni.

He directed three feature films: LOST TIME (2019, Mar del Plata Film Festival), POLITICO (2022, Mar del Plata Film Festival), and A NIGHT AT PALADIUM (2025, BAFICI), as well as several short films that premiered at festivals such as Tallinn, Sitges, and Biarritz, among others.

His projects have been selected for prestigious markets and labs, including the Guadalajara Co-Production Meeting, the Málaga Co-Production Forum, the Cartagena de Indias Production Meeting, Fulgor Lab (Madrid), and the Buenos Aires Biennial of Young Art. He has received multiple awards from Argentina’s National Endowment for the Arts, the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Fund, and the Cultural Patronage program.

Francisco currently teaches project development courses and serves as a jury member at festivals and competitions across the region.
