Francisco Novick
Francisco Novick is a film director, producer and screenwriter born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He has a background in Film Direction (ENERC) and Economy (University of Buenos Aires). He is a Locarno Academy alumni.
He directed and produced three feature films: LOST TIME (2019, Mar del Plata Film Festival), POLITICO (2022, Mar del Plata Film Festival), and A NIGHT AT PALADIUM (2025, BAFICI), as well as several short films that premiered at festivals such as Tallinn, Sitges, and Biarritz, among others.
His projects have been selected in programs and labs including the Ibermedia Series Co-Development Program, Uruguay’s ACAU Minority Co-Production Fund, the Guadalajara and Málaga co-production forums, FICCI Cartagena Industry, Fulgor Lab (Madrid) and the Buenos Aires Young Art Biennial. He has received multiple awards from Argentina’s National Fund for the Arts, the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Fund, and the Buenos aires Cultural Patronage program.
Francisco serves as a project mentor and jury member at film festivals and competitions across the region.
