Iván Bustinduy
Argentine-Spanish filmmaker, professor and film curator. He holds a degree in Filmmaking and Film Education from the Universidad del Cine (Buenos Aires, Argentina), where he works as Associate Professor.
He directed the short films The Second Man (2021), winner of the Méliès Award at Mar del Plata Film Festival, and Animal Transport (2023), premiered at BAFICI, Palm Springs, Fantastic Fest and PÖFF Shorts.
He is part of Colectivo Rutemberg and one of the organizers of the Argentine Film Survey. He is co-founder of TAIPEI / Crítica de cine, where he writes about film pedagogy, and works as Programming Director at Guayaba, an association focused on the promotion of Latin American cinema.
He is a graduate of the Master in Film Curating at Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola (San Sebastian, Spain). His graduation project, “Previous Steps: Inquiries on the training of filmmakers in film schools” is going to be published as a book in 2026.
He is currently working on Open Doors, a documentary about film schools, and is developing Time Out, his debut feature film, while teaching at the Basque Country Film School (Bilbao, Spain).
